Growing up within a family tradition of producing television programs for ESPN, Mark David Mc Kinnis has an extensive background in media production, music and television, while congruently developing a professional service as a vocal/guitar hospitality specialist; Mark David~undercover.
1970s - Having picked up guitar at ten years old, Mark was recording original songs for his father’s syndicated outdoor television production, The Fishin’ Hole, by fourteen. Further discovering music interests in high school madrigals and jazz band, Mark entered classical guitar studies at Drury College, in Springfield, Missouri, later moving to Nashville, Tennessee for a continued study in voice, guitar, composition and recording at Belmont College.
1980s - After performing with theme parks in Gatlinburg Tennessee and Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mark organized a studio, band gigs and wrote songs extensively while joining his father’s company, J.M. Associates, back home in Little Rock Arkansas as a songwriter/publisher, music/producer, sound design/video editor, in service to several productions for the cable network ESPN. ( jmoutdoors.com )
By the turn of the century, Mark’s music interests and skills had led him to produce the productions; Songwriters, a day in the life story featuring Bud Lee, songwriter of Friends in Low Places and then SpotlightON, an under the radar music television series featuring over one hundred fantastic songwriters independently broadcasting with ABC affiliates and then on the Ovation TV Network.
2007 Mark David~undercover was offered a three year six night a week hospitality opportunity performing vocal/guitar for the Crown Plaza Hotel Little Rock and for the last ten years has kept an average over 150 dates a year hospitality performance service schedule.
