Jeff Gross

A lot of the musicians I work with are multi-talented and also have such creative experiences under their belt. Jeff Gross is one of those talents who is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and he has added his skill to big budget Hollywood productions like Venom, Rebel Moon, Money Ball, Black List and many more.

I met Jeff through a singer/songwriter named Robin Pitigliano when I was doing sets at Full of Beans Coffee House. One day Jeff came out to see me play and we were able to exchange info afterward to keep in touch.

A New York native who has been in Los Angeles for over 30 years, by trade Jeff is a foley mixer for SonyTV where he does specialty projects and sound design for the studio's productions. As a sound engineer he has done work with The Replicas, owned by friend Mike Holowatch, produces for Lost Angeles Media Group, and owns recording venue 144 Studios. On the music side he is an experienced player with his specialty being percussion but he can also play the keyboard. Jeff was even lending his talents to several performing acts in the 90’s and 2000’s including Rick Springfield of “Jessie’s Girl” fame.

With Soul Stingers, Jeff stepped in to provide a unique percussion sound on the “Suspend” record. His involvement then expanded to playing the udu, additional percussion, and mixing the track. His input really added the necessary creativity to being a deeper tone and rhythm to the record. Jeff enjoyed the cool experience of working on this project and how the minimal use of instruments made a simple but great sound. We continued to work together on live sets where he has played percussion for live sets.

of note - We first recorded covers, In your Eyes and Long December, in 2016 and later finished these as well.
