Simple Man at Historic Amphitheater

Your ears and eyes aren’t deceiving you. While you only see one person in this video from 2020, the actual recording has been layered with contributions from the rest of the Soul Stingers from 2024. At the top of the year, while staring into the stone seats at this historic amphitheater, I sang the heartfelt “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd which was written by Gary Rossington and Ronnie Van Zant and was inspired by the latter's grandmother. The additional audio now includes Todd Richmond on fretless bass, Michael Rosen on harmonica, and Bill Flores on dobro. During this solo performance the Soul Stingers were still being created and luckily I found the awesome musicians who now accompany me on what was once a one man song. On this unbreakable carbon fiber guitar donned with a peace sign I wanted to deliver this classic tune with an unbreakable spirit. I also want to thank Michael McKinnis for his steady video shot.
